Arora was born in Mumbai, India to a Malayali mother, Joyce Polycarp and a Punjabi father, Anil Arora. Her sister is Malaika Arora Khan. Amrita Arora had her Christian wedding ceremony with boyfriend Shakeel Ladak on 4 March 2009. The wedding was Friday, 6 March 2009. She is pregnant. She was dropped from UTV's Season's Greetings because she got pregnant.[4]
